The Forge Is An In-Person Block.

The Forge is an 8-week, in-person training block held at NextGen Athletics, with 2 sessions a week, 16 total, 90 minutes each. It's built for the fall window between seasons, when most players either coast or get hurt trying to fix everything at once. Groups are capped at 8 so every player gets individual attention, not a crowd.

Every athlete gets the same foundation: athletic development, explosive movement work with water bags and med balls, mobility, and a throwing progression backed by arm care tracking through the ArmCare app. High schoolers add Rapsodo bullpen analysis. And every player, Youth or HS, walks away with a full individualized program built and tracked inside DiamondReps, so the work doesn't stop when the 8 weeks do.

This isn't a camp and it isn't open gym. It's programmed, coached, and measured.

Built For Where You Are.

Youth Track: 8U to 13U

This Track Is Built For:

  • Building real athleticism before locking in mechanics.

  • Age-appropriate strength, coordination, and movement quality.

  • Introducing arm care habits early, before bad patterns set in.

  • Making training structured and fun without going soft on fundamentals.

  • Parents who want to see real progress, not just a busy hour.

High School Track

This Track Is Built For:

  • Players preparing for tryouts, showcases, or a starting job in spring.

  • Explosive movement training that shows up as velocity and arm speed.

  • Objective feedback: Rapsodo bullpen data, not just a coach's opinion.

  • Arm care that's tracked, not assumed.

  • Players ready to be coached hard and held accountable.

Same Coach. Same Standards. Different Ceiling.

Both tracks run on the same 90-minute structure and the same coach. What changes is the load, the complexity, and the tools. HS adds Rapsodo bullpen analysis on top of everything Youth gets.

Ninety Minutes. No Wasted Reps.

Every session follows the same structure, not because it's rigid, but because a repeatable framework is what lets you actually track progress week over week.

01

Athletic Warm-Up & Mobility

15 min

Movement prep and mobility specific to the throwing shoulder, hips, and trunk. This is where arm care starts, not an afterthought at the end.

02

Explosive Movement

20 min

Water bags, med balls, and jump/throw-based power work. Builds the force production that shows up later as velocity on the mound.

03

Throwing Progression

25 min

Structured arm care and throwing development, tracked in the ArmCare app so workload and readiness are never a guess. HS bullpens include Rapsodo tracking on select sessions.

04

Skill & Development Work

25 min

Individual and small-group mechanical work tied directly to each player's DiamondReps program.

05

Cool-Down & Recap

5 min

Wrap-up and a quick check-in on what to carry into the next session.

Nothing here is filler. Every block has a purpose, and every player's results get logged so the next session builds on the last one.

Your Training, Measured.

Three tools, one job: make sure the work is actually working.

DiamondReps

Every player gets a full, individualized program built inside DiamondReps, the coach's own training app. It's what you follow between sessions, and it's what turns 16 sessions into an actual 8-week plan instead of 16 disconnected workouts.

ArmCare

Arm health isn't a feeling, it's a number. ArmCare tracks throwing-shoulder strength and range of motion so we know when a player is ready to push and when to back off, before soreness turns into an injury.

Rapsodo

HS Track

Bullpens get measured, not just watched. Rapsodo gives objective data on velocity, spin, and pitch shape, so mechanical adjustments are based on what the ball is actually doing, not just what it looks like from the mound.

None of this replaces coaching. It backs it up. You get a coach's eye and the data to prove what's working.

How it works: Submit your application, and I'll confirm your spot and group placement directly. Groups are formed by age and skill level to keep training appropriately challenging for everyone in the room.

Who The Forge Is For.

This Program Is For You If:

  • Your player is 8U-13U or high school age and wants structured fall training, not just more games.

  • You want a real program between sessions, not just an hour of activity twice a week.

  • You value a coach who has actually played at the levels your player is aiming for.

  • Your player is willing to be coached, corrected, and pushed.

  • You want arm health tracked with real data, not assumed.

This Is NOT For You If:

  • You're looking for a one-off clinic or a single tryout-prep session.

  • Your player isn't willing to be coached or corrected.

  • You need a flexible drop-in schedule. Groups are fixed for the full 8 weeks.

You've Got Questions.

Let us know as early as you can. Because groups are capped and run on a set schedule, we can't guarantee a 1-for-1 makeup slot, but we'll work with you to fit a missed session into another group that week when there's room.

Cleats or turf shoes, a glove, workout clothes they can move in, and a water bottle. If they own a bat or throwing gloves already fitted to them, bring those. We'll provide shared training equipment (water bags, med balls) for everyone.

No. Youth groups are built around age and ability, not tryout results. HS groups assume some baseball background but not a specific level of play. The program meets players where they are and builds from there.

By age and skill level, capped at 8 players per group, so coaching stays individualized instead of turning into a lecture. If you have a scheduling preference, note it on your application and we'll do our best to accommodate it.

Full refund any time before the program starts. Once sessions begin, refunds are prorated at my discretion. Because groups are capped at 8, a reserved spot is one that couldn't go to another player. If something serious comes up, reach out and we'll work with you.

The individualized program built during The Forge stays with the player through the end of the 8 weeks. Continued DiamondReps access after that rolls into ongoing remote coaching, a natural next step for players who want to keep the momentum going year-round.

No. This is in-person, at NextGen Athletics, on a fixed 8-week schedule. It runs alongside the remote coaching program and can be combined with it, but The Forge is not a video-based program.

Apply below. We'll confirm your spot, group placement, and payment details directly. There's no cost to apply.
